Manuel Pellegrini on Sunday congratulated the Carabineros, the uniformed police of the country that on Saturday night thwarted an assault of which he was a victim in Santiago with his wife and some friends.
The current coach of West Ham United English, who is on vacation in Chile, also demanded improvements for the work of the police in the control of crime.
"Congratulations to Carabineros de Chile for their quick and courageous reaction. I appreciate the support of the people, "he wrote on his Twitter account also the ex-technician of Real Madrid and Manchester City, who was in Chinese football in the last two seasons.
"Hopefully more faculties will be granted to Carabineros to solve the issue of crime as soon as possible," he added.
